EATS Survey

Equitable • Accessible • Thriving • Secure

In 2017, Schenectady County released its first Food Action Plan—a community-informed roadmap that brought together data, lived experience, and cross-sector collaboration to better understand how people access food in our county.

But much has changed since then. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted food access across the region, prices have risen, and our supply chains and community needs continue to evolve.

That’s why we’ve launched Schenectady County EATS—an initiative to revisit and expand the original Food Action Plan. This new effort is grounded in real conversations with the people most impacted by our food system, and guided by a commitment to equity, accessibility, and long-term impact.

How You Can Help: Take the EATS Survey

With support from Siena College and the New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON), we’ve developed the Schenectady County EATS Survey—a short, accessible tool to better understand how residents access food, where they shop, how they get there, and what shapes their choices.

Take the Survey!
